Bald Eagle Hunting
Today's post is more about the Bald Eagles we saw on our trip to Minnesota.

All week I had been watching and photographing the Eagles. I got a few nice pictures of them in the trees but nothing that just said WOW, until the last day. The kids wanted to go out for one more tube ride before we set off on our 18 hour drive back to Colorado Springs. I decided not to go and finish the packing. After packing I took my camera down to the dock to take a few more pictures on the loons. After a few minutes goofing off an eagle flew over and headed down in a dive. I thought for sure he was going for one of the baby loons but he went past them and came down to get a fishing floating in the water. He only came up with part of the fish. It must have been floating for awhile and was soft. It was so awesome to see.

What a great series of photographs. Just witnessing an eagle doing this would be enough but you were also lucky enough to capture it with your camera.

I think these are incredible photographs. You are not only lucky to have eagles like this, but you are also a talented photographed to be able to think fast enough to make pictures like you do. I would say they are among the best I have seen lately.
