Magpie Babies

These pictures are of the Magpie's that had a nest in my backyard.  They had 3 babies.  One of them fell out of the nest way to early and momma and daddy spend a lot of time feeding and protecting him.  They chased off squirrels, numerous times, other birds, a fox (click here for more about the fox), my dog and even tried to scare off my cat that never goes outside.

First baby we saw.  This one came out of the nest several weeks to early.



Second baby we saw.  She was more mature but not flying yet.

Daddy yelling at my cat that was inside the house.  He would come right
up to the window and scream and peck on the window. The cat just laid
there and watched.  Almost like she was laughing at the bird.
